My baby, Hazelnut, has been awfully sick. It has been going on for a month now. He is unable to open his eyes hence leading him to not eating since he can’t see. He also breathes heavily sometimes. So heavy to the point that i got awaken from my sleep. Kesian kan? And he isn’t as hyper as he used to be anymore : /

See his eyes? And don’t worry, he might look dead but he really is not. Still moving around, just not as energetic as before.

Handsome kan? And yes, Hazelnut is a boy. How can i tell? So ok, see those very long claws? Yes, that’s how you differentiate a female and male Red-Eared Sliders. The females do not grow long claws.

So today, since i am off from work, instead of waking up very late on my (rainy) typical lazy Saturday, i actually managed to get up as early as i could and brought Hazelnut to the vet.

It was OUR first trip to the vet, hihi ; D

So the doctor said that he has a respiratory infection. I kinda saw it coming, especially with the symptoms he has shown. Kesian laa i tell you : / But i am very proud of him! He behaved well at the vet. He opened his mouth wide enough so the doctor could feed him with medicines. The doctor even said that other RES often had a hard time to even open their mouth, let alone that wide. Hihi, my baby is such a good boy. vujuvujuvujuvujuvuju *baby talk*
